Miami's Urban Core Needs a Network of Protected Bike Lanes

Writer's picture: Aaron DeMayo Aaron DeMayo

Last week I posted this video to my Instagram account of a short ride I took through #Brickell and #DowntownMiami on my way home. I posed a question, “Would you ride a bike or scooter more often if there was a network of protected bike lanes?” There were two answers to choose from, 'YES' or 'NO.' Sixty-three people responded. Every single response, 100%, was 'YES.'

Miamians want to ride bikes and scooters but do not feel safe with the current infrastructure.

Now is the time to make a network of protected bike lanes a reality. The City of Miami is looking for resident feedback. There is a simple, short survey link below. You can also provide feedback on an interactive map by pinpointing specific locations.

Tell our elected officials and city staff that we want a protected bike lane network built now throughout the urban core!
