The Miami Center for Architecture and Design's (MCAD) mission is to promote awareness and appreciation of how architecture and design influence and enhance the quality of life in our community and stimulate its financial success through bettering our urban environment.
The MCAD Urban Warriors Awards recognizes individuals in the community that have significantly impacted the urban environment. This event will provide an opportunity to connect with key individuals that work within the real estate, architecture, and construction communities.

Aaron DeMayo will be awarded as the 'Young Urbanist' and recognized for his professional and volunteer efforts across numerous aspects of the Miami built environment.
Jessica Goldman Srebnick is the Co-Chair of Goldman Properties. She is being honored with the 'Visionary Award.' Jessica has received numerous accolades and consistently celebrates the arts and creates platforms for artists.
Two generations of Cervera Women are being honored with the 'Legacy Award.' Alicia Cervera has been responsible for breathing life into new communities and revitalizing existing ones. Her daughters, Veronica Cervera Goeseke and Alicia Cervera Lamadrid are also being honored for their contributions in shaping one of the oldest and most successful privately held real estate companies in South Florida and the indelible footprint that it has created.
Dorothy Jenkins Fields, Ph.D. is the 'Honorary Urban Warrior.' Dorothy has devoted her life to preserving the heritage of the African-American community and raising awareness of African-American history to a national level. A Miami native, she is responsible for establishing Miami’s Black Archives, the designation and restoration of the landmark Lyric Theater, where the event is being held, and other historic sites.
