We created the architecture to embrace the context of the beautiful grove of 17 Live Oaks surrounding the home. The landscaping will be a focus from each room, imparting a tranquil, home-in-a-forest like atmosphere. Besides their beauty, the Oaks will provide shade resulting in lower energy bills and a relaxed living environment. At night, uplighting into all of the boughs of the trees will provide a soft lighting effect that will highlight the beauty of the branch structure. The Oaks are then complemented by lush tropical landscaping including palms, philodendron, orchids, and ferns.

A select palette of materials on the exterior of the home elicits a timeless quality, including smooth white stucco, locally sourced coral stone, dark grey
mullions, simple metal railings, and wood accents. Large covered patios and terraces surround the home for entertainment and leisure, including private terraces for each bedroom, The terraces also provide valuable sun shading over the large windows of the home.

The home features six large bedrooms, spread throughout the home to offer privacy to the residents, guests, and staff. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms will overlook the yard and those on the second floor will have views into the majestic Live Oak canopies. The home is organized with the main axis running from the front entryway through the home to the rear yard. On both sides of the ground floor main axis are multiple living and entertainment spaces all with direct access to the rear patios. These flexible spaces offer ample space for leisure and entertainment. This project was created as an Architectural Designer with Modis Architects.
