This custom residence in Coconut Grove is designed to accommodate a growing family with a design tailored to their lifestyle. The entire property is covered in dense native vegetation that embeds the home into the lush neighborhood. The front facade is composed of simple interlocking volumes and features a cantilevered awning that creates the porte-cochere and a frame that signature palms puncture. The front volume contains a solid wood door framed by local Oolite Limestone to provide a sense of strength when arriving. The same local stone is also featured on the facades of the secondary and tertiary volumes and the front gate. 

The entry space has additional height and large clerestory windows. The ground plan is arranged along a central corridor that leads from front to rear. The home has two large entertaining areas on the ground level, one in the front of the home, and one in the rear. Both feature large dining tables, seating areas, and spaces for preparing food and drinks. 

The second level contains the master suite as well as two rooms for children. A large terrace has two staircases, leading down to the rear yard and up to a roof terrace. The roof terrace contains two levels, the lower level has a trellace with a retractable awning above couches, chairs, and a small table surrounded by chairs. Three stairs lead to a higher level that sits above the master suite, where lounge chairs and an umbrella allow for stunning views across the tree canopies while sunbathing. The additional height created in the master suite allows for a captivating wall of windows facing the back yard.
